Smriti Singh
Founder, Team Shakti
Meet Our Founder
Iām Smriti Singh, a third-year B.A. (Hons.) Sociology student at Hindu College, University of Delhi.
I have been actively involved in student leadership and campus initiatives throughout my college journey. I have served as the Team Head of Caucus: The Discussion Forum and as an Outreach Executive at the Women Development Cell (WDC). I am also a member of Manthan ā The Quizzing Society, Samhita, and Panchtattva, where I actively contribute to academic, social, and environmental initiatives.
Beyond campus, I am currently working as a Research Intern at RIAF. I have also completed an internship under a Member of Parliament, where I gained valuable exposure to public policy, governance, and legislative processes.
I am passionate about leadership, research, public policy, and creating meaningful impact through collaboration, community engagement, and social initiatives.
Sahitya Charan
Co-Founder, Team Shakti
Meet Our Co-Founder
I am Sahitya Charan, a second year undergraduate student pursuing B.A (Hons) History at Hindu College, University of Delhi.
I have been driven by curiosity with a shrewd sense of leadership, and service since my school days. A Navodyan at heart, I represented my school at the NVS Regional Science Congress, earning recognition for critical thinking and scientific reasoning. I was also awarded the prestigious Inspire Award (MANAK) for developing a practical science innovation, and secured a Gold Medal in KAMP NASTA - National Assessment for Scientific Temperament and Aptitude.
Beyond academics, I have actively participated in co-curriculars and community work. I won NVS Cluster and Regional level chess tournaments and stood 4th at the NVS National level. I represented NVS at the SGFI 68th National Games and in the NVS National Youth Parliament.
As a Rajya Puraskar Scout, I led cleanliness and plantation drives and volunteered in teaching programmes for underprivileged students.
At Hindu College, I have been a member of Vagmi ā The Hindi Debating Society, Caucus ā The Discussion Forum, and Manthan ā The Quizzing Society, where I continue to engage with ideas, dialogue, and teamwork.
I am passionate about history, public speaking, strategic thinking, and creating impact through leadership, community engagement, and collaborative learning.
